Abstract:	The article deals with the concept “communication”, its content, purpose and means. The work reveals the process of communication, which is not just information exchange, but а mutual activity of partners. The communication process performs certain functions or tasks. The most common functions such as information, understanding, motivation, coordination, contact, emotive, self-fulfilment, influencing are analyzed.
